I never want to forget the way she whined every single morning before swim class. Pulling at my dress and having “roll abouts.” I never want to forget the way she passed out on her own before swim class and we ended up missing class that day. Sleep is more important than swimming.
I never want to forget the way she hands us books to read to her with that shoulder shrug. I never want to forget her pebbles hair. I never want to forget her mean girl Russian face that stops both of us in our tracks in fear. (hahaha)
I never want to forget (ok, maybe I do) her molars coming in and making her a nursing all night, tantrum throwing, drooling, feverish, wild child.
