I didn’t take many big camera photos in September, but something super exciting did happen! We adopted Neville Fatbottom from the SPCA in Long Beach. He fits into our family perfectly. Even Clementine loves him and is sun bathing with him right this second.
In March we wore matching shirts, became obsessed with her mermaid stool, practiced raising her eyebrows, showed off her maternal side by swaddling her mermaid, rocked pigtails, went to the beach with her bestie, and met her baby cousin Isla. We also went and checked out the super bloom! My friend Kate was nice enough to take the flower photos of us. My husband took the first few and all were edited by me.
Our baby girl Evangeline is one year old today! I am so glad I did this project with her. It’s amazing to see how much she changed every week. The one photo where she isn’t on the map blanket is from when we were in Australia. She also never wore the same outfit twice!
I never want to forget the way she whined every single morning before swim class. Pulling at my dress and having “roll abouts.” I never want to forget the way she passed out on her own before swim class and we ended up missing class that day. Sleep is more important than swimming. This is the week of passionate kisses and cuddles. She loves to wrap her arms around my neck and passionately kiss me. She loves to say “hiiii baby!” She has been sleeping on her twin mattress this week. When she wakes up and cries, I go into her room and lay on her bed. She shockingly doesn’t try and nurse, she just wants me to hold her. It’s seriously the sweetest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. Evangeline loves having her own room! I caught her in a hilarious game of peekaboo with the neighbor. I think she has a crush. I had a family shoot at the Orange County Fair this week and she got to come with and look at all the people and animals. She had ice cream and took photos in the photobooth with mama and papa. She also got her second cold ever this week. I thought we would make it to one year with only being sick once, but my aunt came to see our house and brought a cold along […]
These weekly unicorn photos are getting so hard! I have to be SO fast and I pretty much take two photos. It was my birthday last week and we did our yearly birthday tradition of going to Catalina! Catalina is a magical place for us, that is where my husband proposed to me three years ago on my birthday. I wish we would have gone last year, but I was way too pregnant and too hot. Evangeline is talking up a storm this week. She follows me around yelling “mamamamamamama!” She also started saying a new word that sounds like “tacos!” So curious as to what it actually is! Is it an English word? A Russian word? It’s a mystery!
Week thirty nine and Evangeline can now get into a sitting position on her own, get up on her knees, and stand on her own! I saw her grab onto her jumper and stand up! Like she had been doing it for years lol. Baby bird is growing up so fast. I want time to slow down.
Evangeline has three teeth coming out right now. Top two and one on the bottom. She played in her baby pool for the first time and loved it! She also went to her first birthday party and had a popsicle for the first time. Loved that too! She got on her knees for the first time while in the baby pool. Tried to climb right out! Now she is getting on her knees more but still hasn’t crawled on them yet.
