There is something so special about a family who can just relax and enjoy being together during photos.
This Aldie, Virginia family was exactly that. Mom, dad, and their two little girls spent the evening running through the field, playing, laughing, and soaking up that beautiful golden light. Nothing felt overly posed or forced, and that is exactly what made their photos so good.
The best family photos don’t always happen when everyone is looking at the camera. Sometimes it’s the little moments in between: a kid running toward Dad, sisters laughing together, Mom pulling everyone in for a hug, or the whole family simply enjoying being outside together.
My favorite sessions are the ones where families can forget about the camera for a little while and just be themselves. When everyone is comfortable and carefree, the genuine connection comes through naturally.
And honestly, that is what makes a family session fun for everyone, including me.
This beautiful evening in Aldie was full of exactly that.
