Evangeline flew for her first time this week. We went to Texas to visit some of my closest friends. She was amazing on the plane both times. No crying, just huge smiles to everyone. Lots of raspberries too. Thank you to the guy I was sitting next to. He didn’t mind my extra tall babies’ legs and feet hanging over onto his side. He said her tiny feet in his ribs was “good luck.” Unfortunately I couldn’t bring my camera with me for the trip but we had a blast!

Evangeline has become needier than usual. I guess six months is when separation anxiety kicks in and boy, that describes my baby bird perfectly. I feel incredibly grateful my job allows me to be with my baby 24/7 except when I am doing photoshoots, which means I am away from her two hours at most. This week she also rolled from her tummy to back and has been a rolling machine ever since. She is also so close to crawling! She tries so hard her face turns red!

I absolutely love this Russian outfit my cousin gave to me at our baby shower. It’s so cute and even has a little pocket for a plush matryoshka doll! Evangeline had her big modeling job for Target on Friday. She did great! She was a little bewildered being handed off to male model but she was super cute. Curious to see if she will make it in the ads!

This week I am making up for my lack of big camera photos last week. Evangeline is becoming a little human. She has always of course been a human, but now she’s doing all these amazing things. She grabs for my face and pulls me to her. She tries to eat me and it’s hilarious. The best thing ever is her time with the mirror. I hold her to me in front of the mirror and she smiles at herself. Evangeline week eighteen | Santa Monica baby photographer

Evangeline learned how to roll over this week! She rolls on both sides and can roll back over on her back! We think she is either having a major growth spurt or is learning more new things because her sleeping has become pretty darn awful. Maybe she is learning to sit on her own! That is what I will tell myself anyway as I wake up every two hours to nurse her back to sleep.
