Maddie {Mckinney Texas Senior Portrait Photographer}

Maddie did such an awesome job on this shoot. It was 100 degrees outside and you can’t even tell! She rocked it. Thank you Maddie! We went to downtown Mckinney for the first half and then a nearby field for the second.

Wow! Those look so beautiful! I love the 3rd one down and the field ones, but so hard to choose a favorite, those all look so, so awesome!!!

lol. It’s because I’m a model. I know how people should pose so I can direct them. Just make sure they don’t do anything cheesy and have them look as natural as possible. Making them laugh is huge! I kept telling Maddie to pretend she was with her friends. Pose how she would pose if she was posing with friends and then she would just shine! I typed pose quite a lot! But I think it’s pretty awesome you are wanting my help when I was needing help a few short months ago!! hahaha. I will answer any questions you have!

Thank you Audra!

I don’t think I’ll ever not need your help! I learn so much from you and everyone else in the 365 project. I’m so glad I started it again. I’ve liked photography for awhile but I feel like I’ve learned more in the past few months than I have in years.

I was just thinking the same thing! I think that’s what makes G so great and so natural. when I did my sister’s senior portraits, I would say, “Okay smile! No, stop looking so weird.” haha

The biggest thing I figured out was to tell them to shake it out. They would shake to loosen up, then they would look natural. It helps counter-act the awkwardness and over-thinking of posing for photos.

Maddie is beautiful and they are great photos, G! I really love #4 and the last three

Genevieve - 06/08/2011 - 10:18 pm

Yes! Shaking it out is perfect. You will notice your subjects are starting to fake smile and look strained while smiling lol. Then have them shake it out and start again.

I also try and notice what their hands are doing. You don’t want them making a claw hand or holding their hand awkwardly or stiff.

Thank you Alyssa! I agree, she’s gorgeous.

That is so awesome and I am so glad you started again!

Love these pictures! Specially the first one. She looks gorgeous, and happy, so natural… =)

Madalyn - 06/09/2011 - 2:05 am

I looove that last one. I like the set of her on the steps especially 4-7.

Alyssa - 06/09/2011 - 4:30 pm

Claw hand was actually the reason we started the shakin’ :) Hands and limbs are difficult for us non-models to move naturally

Heather - 06/09/2011 - 5:00 pm

They are beautiful! You really have an eye for this. :)

Sarah - 06/10/2011 - 6:38 pm
